Allysunn Walker, MBA, MPH

Strengthening communities one neighborhood at a time.

When an organization brings Allysunn onboard, they make a triple play of insuring extraordinary leadership, strong execution, and gender and racial diversity at the top. Even more, she offers a deep connection with community and constituency, a powerful list of contacts, plus a foundation of robust values, humor, and compassion that makes working with Allysunn an easy and enjoyable process.

An organizational “architect” with a visionary voice, Allysunn is a seasoned leader in public and private community economic development spaces. She has been an advocate for low-income and under-invested communities throughout her career.  With exceptional managerial acumen, intellectual agility, and ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, she successfully builds sustainable non-profit organizations and pushes small business towards scale.

A graduate of Harvard and UCLA, Allysunn has led and participated in national, statewide, regional and local development efforts. Her commitment to create and distribute economic opportunity among low-income-yet-high-potential people of color is showcased through her work with the CA State Department of Corrections, HUD, the Chicago and Los Angeles Housing Authorities; as well as her work on the Community Advisory Board of Union Bank, Community Advisory Board of Citizen’s Business Bank, the Fresno Regional Foundation, the Economic Development Corporation serving Fresno County, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Task Force “Women, Health and Money @ Work,” and the FDIC Alliance for Economic Inclusion.
